Nicco's XLPE Cables are manufactured using the latest technology such as Triple Extrusion using Single (Common) Cross Head Extrusion technique and Dry Cure (Inert Gas Cured) Cross-linking Process, which have the following noteworthy features and characteristics.

Structural Features :

  1. No irregularities eg. protrusions, disruptions, asperities in the inner
    and outer semi-conducting layers
  2. Uniform 3 layer insulation structure
  3. Free from Micro Voids and Moisture Content

Cables laid in submerged and water logged areas are prone to ingress of moisture particularly through sheath cracks and joints. Water in contact with insulation under high electrical stress results to Water Tree formation. It is therefore, preferable to design the cable with a hermetically sealed metallic barrier to prevent such water entry. N.B. [Special Requirement: To prevent longitudinal water ingression through the conductor the interstices of the conductor is filled with special water swell-able material.
