While 66kV XLPE Cables are manufactured with the highest degree
of Quality Assurance beginning from the raw material stage till the
time of the despatch of the cable it is equally important to ensure
safe handling of the cable right from the storage at Site to the time
it is commissioned. For safe and optimum performance installation
of 66kV XLPE Cable plays a vital role. |
Generally the laying practices employed
for laying Power Cable as laid down BIS (Ref : IS : 1255) also applies
to 66kV cables but special attention requires to be paid to the
consolidation of the soil and surrounding environment in case of
direct burial in the ground to ensure adequate heat dissipation.
The laid down procedures and checklists are to be strictly followed
during laying, installation and commissioning with special attention
