Applications : NICCO Mining Cables are designed
and developed for heavy duty application and long service in mining.
Flexible stranded Copper Conductors are used with best available
insulating materials to cover the conductors, and overall jacket
of heavy duty, flame retardant, high tear resistant compound is
extruded / applied over the laid up cores to meet the most stringent
applications in Indian mines.
NICCO Cables are designed to provide the essential power distribution
Characteristics with electrical safety features. In order to protect
and guard against explosion and arcing, if the cable is damaged
during service, the Insulation Screens and / or Armour are so designed
as to comply with specified conductance to ensure operation of Switchgears
and Circuit-breakers, which incorporate Earth-leakage Protection
Devices, to restrict fault currents to low levels.
Cables of special designs are also available for open cast mines,
for mobile electric Power Plants, Dumpers and similar mobile machines,
with special reinforcement included in the outer sheath and some
of the cables are made more flexible to endure critical flexing,
by providing special semi-conducting screens etc. Such designs can
be offered strictly to NCB, VDE & NEMA specifications or suitably
modified keeping our Indian Standards in view.
Availability and Ordering : Cables are supplied
on drums suitably packed for transportation and delivery.

- In case of non-standard requirements, details of application
and environmental data as much as possible, especially the type
of System Earthing and its effectiveness.
