A pioneer in cables, Nicco has left an indelible impression on the face of Indian industry. In 1942, it was the first wholly Indian company to manufacture cables. The in-house R&D team has developed a myriad of specialty cables over the years. The R&D Department of both the cable manufacturing units is centered at Shyamnagar Plant.

The company has recently expanded its facilities to manufacture electron beam irradiated cables. This plant is the first of its kind in India. Nicco's R&D centre and facilities are recognised by the Dept. of Science and Technology Government of India, New Delhi.
